The Parliamentary Candidate (PC) for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Chiana-Paga constituency, Nikyema Billa Alamzy, expressed unwavering confidence in the transformative power of an NDC government when voted into power come 2025.
According to Mr. Alamzy, despite the existing challenges faced by constituents, a change in leadership will pave the way for a brighter future.
Mr. Alamzy, who spoke on A1 Radio, highlighted the pressing need for basic amenities in the constituency that could significantly improve the lives of its residents.
“The constituency lacks the very basic amenities that can improve our lives,” Alamzy stated.
According to him, his commitment is to prioritize the growth and development of the Chiana-Paga constituency over personal luxuries once elected to represent them in parliament after the 2024 elections.
He acknowledged the challenges faced by constituents, including the absence of fundamental infrastructure that could uplift the standard of living in the area.
Mr. Alamzy announced his intention to utilize the duty-car loan typically extended to Members of Parliament to invest in a drilling rig, aiming to provide potable water to every community within the constituency.
“The duty-car loan should serve a greater purpose, especially in areas where necessities are lacking. My focus is on ensuring that every community in Chiana-Paga has access to clean and safe drinking water,” Alamzy declared.
