Dr. Clement Abas Apaak, the Member of Parliament and Parliamentary candidate for Builsa South, has donated GH¢10,000.00 to two women’s groups in the Fumbisi Zongo and Logmiisa communities.

The donation is aimed at facilitating the connection of electricity to a rice mill and roofing another rice mill, both of which are vital to the economic activities of these women.

Once fully operational, the rice mills will not only enhance the processing of rice, a staple crop in the region, but also improve the financial security of the women involved.

This initiative is seen as a significant step toward economic empowerment, allowing the women to increase their productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and generate more income for their families.

The women of Fumbisi Zongo and Logmiisa expressed immense gratitude for Dr. Apaak’s support, noting that his intervention will have a lasting impact on their lives. They pledged their unwavering support for him in the upcoming elections, recognizing his consistent efforts to uplift the underprivileged, particularly women and youth, in the constituency.

Their enthusiasm was palpable as they assured him that the support would be utilized effectively to achieve the intended purpose.

Presenting the cash on behalf of Dr. Apaak, the constituency Chairman of the NDC, Caesar Akinkang, emphasized the MP’s dedication to the principles of equity, social justice, and empowerment. He urged the women to use the funds judiciously, ensuring that the projects are completed to benefit the wider community.

Chairman Akinkang also reassured them of Dr. Apaak’s continued commitment to supporting similar initiatives, stressing that the MP views the empowerment of the less privileged, especially women and youth, as fundamental to achieving long-term positive change in society.
