The Vodafone Ghana Music Awards is over but there are several lessons entertainers can draw from the various categories in order to better their game this year so they can do better in the coming year.

One artiste who has risen through the rank and has worked at gaining the recognition nationwide is Fancy Gadam. Like it or not, the artiste has made a name for himself been the only artiste from the Northern region to win at the VGMA.

People have several theories to back their laziness and why Fancy Gadam has risen so high in the music industry but regardless of those theories, there are some lessons to pick from him in order to build the music industry in the Upper East region.

  1. Professionalism is key to success in the Music industry

An artiste like Fancy Gadam does not joke with professionalism in running his music business. He organizes well sold out event inviting all stakeholders to ensure that the world gets to hear of him, He is conscious of his time and works to be kept in the game and not just for fame. He has a team that works around the clock to ensure that things get done and get done well.

Fancy Gadam came to the limelight as a result of his regard for the media and what he thought they could do for his career. He provides press pass for all his events in order to get the media talk about his show. His respect for bloggers is paramount and therefore makes available his songs for upload online.

Fancy Gadam is one artiste who regardless of hitting the limelight does not lose sight of the grassroots fans who made his feat possible. Unlike others who think less of the local people, he is in touch with them and that has kept him winning.
