Communications team member for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Upper East Region, Paul Danka has said late Former Vice President Amissah Arthur was better in the performance of duties in his time at the second highest office than the current Vice President Dr. Bawumia.
Accordimg to the NDC communicator, the “talk and do” spirit of late Amissah Arthur placed him above Dr Bawumia who only engages in a lot of talk without actions.
“Former Vice President Amissah Arthur was doing far better that Bawumia in governance. He was cool and gentle and did not tell lies. He backed all his talking with actions unlike what we see today with the current Vice President Dr Bawumia. Bawumia is only good at talking”.
He was sad about the negative impact the sudden demise of Mr.Amissah Arthur will have on the development of the country and the umbrella party. He said the vast knowledge the former vice President gathered in his long years of servitude would have been used greatly if not for his call to glory.
Mr. Danka expressed his condolences to the family of the late statesman on his own behalf and the region’s wing of the NDC.
Asked if the demo against government over the Electoral Commission Chair sack would be called off or postponed, Mr.Danka said the party at the regional level was yet to receive an official communique. He added that calling off the demo was not far from decisions since traditions demand that the late Former Vice President be given respect.
